"Tired of the Daily Grind? If you asked a dozen Christians why their work matters, you'd probably get a dozen different answers. Whether paid or unpaid, skilled or menial, each of us longs to find meaning in what we do from day to day. Can the gospel really help us in our quest? The Gospel-Centered Life at Work invites CEOs, students, homeschooling parents, doctors, plumbers, white, blue and pink collar-workers to sit down and discuss our work as a common call to follow Jesus in all of life. Whether we struggle with complaining at work, defensiveness, fearing the future, frustration, or troubling ethical decisions, work brings challenges to each of us that we cannot handle apart from Christ. "The Gospel-Centered Life at Work" shows us how to turn to Jesus in repentance and faith and to both work and rest in Him. Too often our approach to living out the Christian faith in our work and school life is rules-based, just emphasizes being a good person, or concentrates on the workplace as mission field. A gospel-centered work life is so much more profound and nuanced than that. This study opens our eyes to see God at work refining us and opportunities for God to be at work through us. Our work can become a vocation in response to what Christ has done for us!"

The Gospel accounts are very clear about the focus of Jesus message. Yet the good news of the Kingdom of God is nearly absent from Christianity today. In the Gospel of Luke Jesus makes a pivotal statement about what should be the highest priority for His followers: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33)
Join us for a four week study of the Old Testament and New Testament accounts about the Kingdom of God. Here what Jesus wants us to know about the Kingdom.
